We are thrilled to share that CNBC has recognised Linked Finance as one of the world’s top fintech companies for the second consecutive year.
For the second consecutive year, Linked Finance, Ireland’s largest peer-to-peer lending platform, has been named one of the world’s top fintech companies by the respected business news provider CNBC.
The inclusion within CNBC’s prestigious “World’s Top 250 Fintech Companies 2024” list, underscores Linked Finance’s continued leadership and innovation in the alternative finance sector.
The study from CNBC, which was carried out with market research firm Statista, named the Top 250 firms after an analysis of more than 2,000 eligible companies worldwide.
Since it was founded in 2013, Linked Finance has been dedicated to giving SMEs a faster, alternative way to access finance. To date, Linked Finance has provided more than €315 million in capital loans to over 4,000 SMEs across Ireland. Additionally, Linked Finance has almost 24,000 registered members, with an average business loan size of €113,564.
Linked Finance was named in the CNBC list in the alternative finance category, which features digital platforms that enable companies and consumers to secure funding online, leveraging advanced technologies such as cloud computing and AI algorithms. This sector provides a crucial alternative to traditional pillar banks, offering more flexible and accessible finance solutions particularly to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This recognition highlights Linked Finance’s significant role and ongoing commitment to providing innovative and alternative financing options that meet the evolving needs of modern businesses across Ireland.
“This recognition from CNBC and Statista as a top fintech company for the second consecutive year validates our commitment to re-shaping how SMEs secure financing,” said Niall O’Grady, CEO of Linked Finance. “Our commitment to providing quick, personable and straightforward financial solutions continues to set us apart in supporting the growth of Irish SMEs. Being named a top global fintech is also a huge endorsement of the team that we have in place at Linked Finance and their agility to meet our customers’ needs.”
“Our continued recognition on this list not only shows the growth and success we have seen over the past 12 months in Ireland, but also our sustained success on a global stage as a leader in the alternative finance sector. We are committed to not just maintaining this trajectory but to continuing our growth, pushing forward with innovative solutions, supporting our customers and SMEs across Ireland to succeed in an ever-changing economic landscape.”
CNBC, in partnership with the research firm Statista, conducted a detailed analysis to rank the top 250 fintech companies globally. two entries – Linked Finance and Wayflyer. The global study assessed key performance indicators such as revenue, user growth, and funding, reviewing over 20,000 data points from public sources such as company reports, news articles, and websites.
