Linked Finance welcomes Central Bank announcement on crowdfunding regulations

Linked Finance welcomes the Central Bank’s announcement on crowdfunding regulations, which marks official recognition of the important role peer-to-peer (P2P) lending has to play as a source of funding to help growth the SME sector in Ireland.
For several years we have been seeking an Irish regulatory framework and this announcement is a useful move in that direction. Linked Finance has always managed its business to meet international best practices introduced in markets where the P2P sector is more mature.
Since its establishment in 2013 Linked Finance has grown rapidly to deliver over €188m to over 3,100 ambitious local businesses in every county in the country. In 2021 Linked Finance issued ove €36m in loans compared to €19.1m in 2020, an increase of 90%.
Linked Finance is Ireland’s largest and longest established P2P lender.
