When Linked Finance launched in 2013 we aimed to solve a major problem facing small businesses in Ireland: access to funding from banks. At the same time rock bottom interest rates frustrated savers with money to invest.
Using technology to cut out the middleman, Linked Finance brings business lending back to basics: where ordinary people with savings can connect and lend to trustworthy businesses that wish to borrow. As of September 2017 loans on Linked Finance have supported over 5,000 Irish jobs nationwide.
At Linked Finance, we offer 1,000’s of Irish SME's a new viable alternative to borrowing from the banks. Real people like you can lend small amounts to great Irish businesses at very attractive interest rates.
Linked Finance is Ireland’s largest lending platform. To date our 16,000+ registered lenders have lent over €32m to support 1,000+ great Irish businesses across every county in Ireland. The process is simple, transparent and efficient!
We allow our lenders to make a difference to Irish businesses and earn better interest rates while businesses are free to keep their focus where it should be: on growing their business.
Linked Finance launched in March 2013 and is Ireland’s first and largest business P2P Lending platform. To date (October 2017) we have repaid over €17.5 million to our lenders.
P2P Lending or Crowd Lending was originally invented in Ireland in 1727 by Jonathan Swift when he set up the Irish Loan Fund to lend to small Irish Farmers.
The recent international financial crisis created a perfect storm of factors: interest rates for savers hit an all-time low while access to funds for businesses from banks virtually froze, forcing savers and businesses to seek out alternatives.
Over $30 billion dollars has been loaned via P2P Lending platforms worldwide in 2015.
The site is trusted by over 16,000+ registered lenders to date October 2017.
To date (October 2017) we have provided 1000+ loans to Irish SMEs across every county of the country.
Since we launched in March 2013 over €35 million has been lent on the Linked Finance platform.
According to the Irish Central Bank in June 2017, €20 Billion is the total amount of all loans to SME’s. There was €3 Billion of new lending in 2016. Linked Finance plan to lend over €250 million to 5,000 businesses over the next couple of years.
According to the Irish Central Bank in June 2017, Irish household savings are €100 Billion. This is over 4 times as much as all Irish SME business loans in Ireland.
To date (October 2017) loans on Linked Finance have supported over 5,000 Irish jobs nationwide.
Our top 3 goals for the next 12 months are to:
Linked Finance is the first & largest P2P Lending website in Ireland. The process is fast, efficient and transparent allowing Lenders and Businesses to take control of their finances.
'Peer-to-peer lender Linked Finance raises €2.5m .....'
'Market leader Linked Finance on growth trajectory ....'
'Lending to Butchers, Bakers and Candlestick Makers ...'
